Now, I have to admit, when I first saw one of the hand paddles, I thought, “Interesting idea but I doubt I’d ever use one”. At that point, I had Tarpon 16’s, both with rudders, and just never could think of a time when I’d have wanted one.

I recently bought a Native Ultimate 14. I am falling in love with this boat but it drifts completely different from a traditional kayak. I am constantly needing little corrections while working a drift line. It wants to turn perpendicular to the breeze. A rudder solves that but, without it, I am finding the (Piranha) hand paddle to be a wonderful tool.

I was out this morning with a good bud who saw me using it. Instead of the kayak paddle under the arm pit using one hand for one small stroke, I was making a simple and quick adjustment with the (Piranha) hand paddle.

Well, my impression has changed. Not only an interesting idea but a damn good product. Thanks!

To whom it may concern,

I recently purchased a Predator paddle from www.kayakfishingsupplies.com. At first I was not sure about it, but after using it the first time today, I must say I really enjoyed using it. Moving my kayak at little here or a little there, was done with ease because of my Predator paddle. I liked it so much, I did a nice review for it on 6 different kayak fishing forums. This paddle is a must have for kayak fishing! It works very well for moving just a few feet or positioning yourself right on a drop-off. When it’s windy and you want to face the right direction this paddle fits the bill for that. The hook is also handy because it can help you grab onto things like docks. I also use it to push off whatever because I don’t have to worry about it breaking.

The other advantage to this paddle is if you get snagged you can just use this little guy to paddle over there and not have to mess with a big paddle while holding your pole and pulling on it the same time as you are paddling. Also once you get over there, you can just tug on the line to free it with the hook.

This paddle has a great design, and is very useful! I think you should check it out. Anything that can making fishing more enjoyable is a win-win situation for me.

Hey Ed,

Went out today and tested the (Assault) hand paddles and man where do I begin. Love the design of them, super cool design. Secondly it is very lightweight and compact. Third, it has some bite to it, keep me adjusted in todays tough winds. Over all out of five, these paddles are a five. I would highly recommend this to anyone. Thanks again
